Sounds of nature

Natural sounds never create stress, on the contrary they heal a stressed mind and body. Remember the sound of a cascading waterfall, roaring tidal waves or a battalion of birds holding a twilight meeting in the trees. If you observe closely, natural sounds create their own music. They soothe tired nerves. It’s man-made sound that can be jarring. In ancient books on music two kinds of sounds are mentioned: noise and musical sound. Classical Indian music is said to be inspired by the sounds of the frog, the peacock, and the elephant and so on. Anything that can help from the outside will have some music in it only then can it help. The sound of running water in the hills can help, because it has its own music. The roaring waves of the ocean can help, because they have their own music. The singing of the birds in the morning can help or the sound of insects in the silent night, or the rain falling on the rooftop anything that creates music can also create meditation. The meditation resort is generously strewn with imaginatively placed waterfalls and lily ponds. The waterfalls gurgle from various heights through rocks of different shapes and sizes.
